Just some environmental sketches from the other day.
Had fun with 'em.
Went to Reed-Custer High School earlier to go give a quick gesture demo. Kids were very well behaved. And, not sure who she was, but there was a girl holding a DAMN good black/white drawing on what looked like plexiglass or something. Very eerie and beautiful drawing.
Hope the kids could glean something from such a short demo, haha. Feel like I cheated 'em a bit. Stage fright. Oh, well. C'est la vie.
Thanks for putting up with the terrible warm-up, kids! And thanks for the invitation!
On a side note, haha, heard an interesting exchange between a former instructor explaining population and educational differences between the USA and China and a student outside the classroom while waiting for the art kids. Clearly the student was your average Braidwood, soon-to-knock-up-high-school-fling, football/track star xenophobe.
Instructor: "You're all aware that China has a little over THREE times our population, right? You know what that means, right? For every smart person we have here, they have three more. So, there are WAAAAAAY more smart people in China than there are the U.S."
Track Star AS IF TRYING to prove the instructor's point: "BuuuUUUUULLLSHiiiIIIT!"
Math must not be this kid's friend.
